Lt Col Eddie Walsh (Acting Commanding Officer)
Given the lack of formal training for her post, I have been particularly impressed by the rapidity with which she has embraced the full range of responsibilities and delivered all that was expected of her, and more, against a diverse and challenging programme of tasks and training alongside her academic studies. She is to be especially commended for her outstanding contribution to the adventure training and sporting opportunities within the Unit; there are few to touch the energy, drive and commitment she brings to the service of others.
What she currently lacks in experience she makes up for in raw talent – and delivers a performance that points to an individual of rare ability who has what it takes to reach the highest pinnacle in her chosen career.
